At SMP Bullion & Diamonds Ltd, we understand the high value and importance of your orders and shipments. Whether you are purchasing investment bullion, buying diamond jewellery, or using our Free Seller Pack to send us scrap precious metals, we ensure all deliveries are fully insured, tracked, and handled with the highest level of security.

1. Outbound Deliveries (Purchasing from Us)

Packaging and Security

All orders dispatched by SMP Bullion & Diamonds are sent in discreet, tamper-evident packaging. To protect your privacy and ensure security during transit:

• Outer packaging bears no logos, branding, or references to "bullion," "gold," "diamonds," or "jewellery."
• Return addresses listed on parcels show a non-descript administrative name.

Shipping Methods & Rates

We partner with Royal Mail and specialized security courier networks to deliver your items safely across the United Kingdom.

Note: Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, total order value, and required insurance level.

Dispatch & Cut-off Times

• Order Cut-off: Orders placed and cleared before [1:00 PM / 2:00 PM] on a working day (Monday to Thursday) will be processed and dispatched the same day, subject to stock availability and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) verification checks.
• Weekend Orders: Orders placed on Friday after the cut-off time, weekends, or bank holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.

Delivery Restrictions & Requirements

For security and fraud prevention reasons, strict rules apply to all deliveries:

• Signature Required: All deliveries must be signed for upon arrival. Parcels will not be left in a "safe place" or delivered to a neighbor without explicit written authorization prior to dispatch.
• Address Matching: First-time orders must be delivered to the registered billing address associated with the payment card or bank account used.
• PO Boxes: We do not deliver to PO Boxes, BFPO addresses, or unstaffed collection points.

2. Inbound Shipping (Selling Scrap Metals to Us)

If you are using our Free Seller Pack to sell scrap gold, silver, platinum, or palladium:

1. Prepaid Envelope Provided: Your Seller Pack includes a prepaid, insured, and tracked Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope.
2. Packing Your Items: Secure your items inside the tamper-evident bag provided according to the included instructions.
3. Proof of Postage: Take your sealed parcel to any UK Post Office counter. You must retain your official receipt and tracking number as proof of postage.
4. Transit Insurance: Items sent using our pre-paid envelope are insured up to £2,500 while in transit, provided you obtain proof of postage from the Post Office. If your scrap items exceed this value, please contact us prior to posting so we can arrange additional insurance cover.

3. Showroom Collection (Click & Collect)

You can choose to collect your order or deliver your scrap metal in person at our Birmingham showroom in the Jewellery Quarter.

• Location: 41 Northampton Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, B18 6DU.
• Requirements for Collection: To collect an order in person, you must present:
  1. Your order confirmation email.
  2. A valid, official photographic ID (Passport or UK Driving Licence).
  3. A utility bill or bank statement showing your billing address (dated within the last 3 months).

4. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels

• Transit Liability: All shipments dispatched by us are fully insured until the point of signature at the specified delivery address. Once a signature is obtained by the courier/postal operator, our insurance coverage ends.
• Damaged or Tampered Packaging: If a parcel arrives showing visible signs of damage or tampering, do not accept the package. Inspect the parcel in front of the courier and contact us immediately on 0121 236 9844.
• Delayed Deliveries: If your delivery is delayed, please check your tracking information provided via email. If a parcel has not arrived within 48 hours of expected delivery, contact our support team so we can initiate a trace with the courier.
